Emile Hypérion Dubuisson – Forests
Emile Hyperion Dubuisson was born in Paris and lives in New York. He studied photography at the International Center of Photography. He has been widely exhibited in the US. Foam Magazine awarded him as one of the its Talent 2010 artists. He received the Juror’s Choice award in the Project Competition 2011 Center Santa Fe’s, honors documentary projects and fine art series. Emile has been working on this project started in the Baleares and California 3 years ago, exploring nature, plant and landscape in different environments and depth. The photographs embark the viewers into a walk in the high fields of wild forests on the shores of the Balearic island of Minorca and California. The nature is raw, powerful, yet eerie. Each layers in the photographs are ways to observe nature from a new angle, that then gently disappear in a grainy tableau. This presentation is an invitation to interact with nature, reconnect with it through the photography medium, discover harmony, simplicity and beauty.

Larissa Lax – Rio Negro
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian-American photographer Larissa Lax is based in Brooklyn, New York. Her background in the arts gives her a keen eye for the use of light, depth and movement. She creates visual intimacy and closeness to her subjects, often investigating and emphasizing the female form. Her work ranges from fashion to portraits, using photography and video as her main media. A window into a stream of red misty water, the sun breaking through the surface, its reflection caressing ripples. Embracing a shape, sculpted by water, a body plays with the river. Gasping for air, diving again. The Rio Negro triptych is an ethereal answer to the artist gaze on the female body. Blown up, larger than life, like marble statues. A raw material made of skin inviting the viewer to join in the dance.
